Helping All Children Read
eEGRA is a free electronic tool that lets educators assess their students’ literacy levels. Created by Education Development Center, Inc. for use on the computer, eEGRA adapts the paper-based Early Grades Reading Assessment, developed by the U.S. Agency for International Development. eEGRA runs in Microsoft Excel, available on most computers. Assessment linked to instruction has the power to improve children’s reading. eEGRA enables educators to instantly assess how their students are doing and adjust their teaching to address real needs, making reading instruction more effective.
